My thoughts for each track.
1. The Fantasy World
It would seem that the fantastically dreamlike scenery captures everyone’s imagination; they happily yield to it, with their eyes sparkling brightly.
With the beautiful scenery and the smile in my heart, I wrote this tune, praying for peace.
2. In the thatched house
It was snowing. The thatched roof was completely covered with fluffy snow.
It was very silent and cold outside,
but inside the house, people sat around the square hearth (or Irori in the center of a room) to keep warm.
There was the crackling of burning charcoal. “What were they talking?” I wonder.
3. Kaleidoscope
When I was a child, on my first school trip,
I was fascinated by a small kaleidoscope made with origami and bought it as a souvenir.
I found out that this year marks the 200th anniversary of the invention of kaleidoscope.
I went to see the Kaleidoscope Exhibition.
The kaleidoscopes exhibited were not anything like the ones I used to know;
in a flash, you make a space travel, fly around inside flowers or diamonds etc.,
are looking up at the cathedral’s awe-inspiring ceiling in a faraway country or
at the beautiful firework display in the sky…
Indeed, the kaleidoscope world was the beautiful world of fantasies.
4. Sadness and Healing
It takes time to heal sadness, the deeper the sadness,
the longer it takes. Although it is hard to do, you let go,
let the tears flow, feel it completely, then eventually you’ll be able to live naturally…
5. Landscape after the rain
I feel the landscape after the rain makes my heart fresh and clear.
Through the light mist, the trees were washed clean and greener.
Raindrops settled on leaves are sparkling in the sunlight…
6. Candles, Stars & Angels
While I was looking at the photos of The Candlelit Rice Terrace, this tune rose up from within me.
The heartwarming candlelit scenery and stars twinkling above made me feel the presence of angels,
watching over us from the sky.
7. The ancient wind to the future
I climbed up to the top of the hill with its long geological history.
The pleasant wind started to blow.
I wondered the same wind had been blowing to the people in the ancient times and would be blowing to
the people in the future.
I wish we can evolve this planet into the scenic and peaceful place we yearn for it to be.
Here is my prayer in this tune.
